What if I miss court?

If you know you are going to miss court, contact the clerk's office as soon as possible at (731) 692-3767. Continuances are granted for legitimate emergencies (medical, family, etc).

Generally, if you fail to appear for any reason, your case will be reset to the next court date. You should call to verify the date of your next appearance. Only one continuance / reset is permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances.

If you have already appeared and are returning for status or payment, you must appear or your case will be marked failure to appear.

Failure to appear for court usually results in suspension of your drivers license. If you are found to be driving with a suspended license, you are subject to arrest.
